The Gas Foodservice Equipment Network (GFEN) presented their New
Product Award for “outstanding innovation and technology in
foodservice equipment” to AccuTemp Products, Inc., of Fort Wayne,
Indiana. The GFEN “Crystal Flame” Award was presented to AccuTemp
for the development of their gas-fired, steam-heated griddle. The
presentation took place in the AccuTemp Booth at NAFEM 2001 in Orlando,
Florida.
“The AccuTemp Griddle was tested and evaluated at
the Food Service Technology Center facility in San Ramon, California.
Based on its unprecedented performance, it was chosen as the 2001 GFEN
New Product of the Year,” according to Tom Simpson of NW Natural Gas
and GFEN Chairman.
The award winning AccuTemp Griddle uses efficient
infrared gas burners to produce steam in a patented, hermetically sealed
vacuum chamber directly under the griddle surface. Surface temperature
recovery is very fast because steam transfers more energy at the point
of cooling. This sealed steam system never needs water, cleaning or
maintenance.
The GG Series Griddle is capable of very precise
temperature control between 200-400°
F and delivers uniform surface temperatures at ±3°
F of set temperature. Near perfect uniform heating means no wasted
griddle surface, higher production capacity per foot of griddle and more
consistent product, even with inexperienced griddle cooks. More
production in less space also means savings on ventilation hoods, energy
and HVAC costs.
All stainless steel construction includes: a
durable, easy-to-clean 8 gauge polished cooking surface; a 4.5” high
back splash; 4.5” to 1.7” tapered sides; and a full width 4” by
1” deep grease trough up front, with drop to a two gallon capacity
grease drawer. A single solid-state thermostat controls the griddle
operating temperature and never requires calibration.
GG Series Gas Griddles are available in 36” and
48” wide tabletop or stand mounted models. Installation requires a ½”
NPT natural or propane gas connection and 120-volt power connection. A
4’ power cord with plug is provided. |
