AccuTemp Introduces the Evolution™, a Higher Order of Steamers!

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August, 2008) – AccuTemp Products, Inc. will introduce their Evolution™ Series of boilerless steamers at the North American Foodservice Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Show, which will be held in Orlando, FL on February 5-7, 2009. The Evolution Series of six pan steamers combines the convenience of automatic water fill and drain connections and the dependability of a boilerless design, with variable temperature steaming and food holding capability introduced with the original Steam'N'Hold™ connectionless steamer.

AccuTemp’s Evolution Series is designed to use less water and energy than competitive boilerless models that use ten gallons or more per hour. Using only 3- to 6-gallons per day, the Evolution can reduce an operator’s water and sewer charges, plus the energy needed to heat that extra water. Evolution is part of AccuTemp’s ECOLOGIX™ initiative to: RETHINK-RECYCLE-RENEW!

“AccuTemp started the no-hassle steamer REVOLUTION with our Steam'N'Hold™ connectionless steamers,” according to Scott Swogger, AccuTemp’s President & CEO. “Well over 30,000 steamer customers have embraced Steam’N’Hold technology but some have asked for the convenience of a no-fill connected steamer. Evolution really is a higher order of steamer - delivering that convenience, plus faster cook times, menu versatility and trouble-free operation!”

Evolution Series Steamers are available as six-pan capacity countertop and stand-mounted models, plus double stacked stand-mounted units delivering 12-pan production capacity and the flexibility of two independent compartments for cooking and/or holding. All models come pre-piped for a single-point water and drain connection, including the double stacked model.

AccuTemp’s Unmatched Steamer Credentials --

AccuTemp created the connectionless steamer category in 1993 and has introduced a string of industry “firsts” including: the first connectionless and boilerless steamer, eliminating the need for water and drain connections, regular deliming, service problems and the expenses associated with water treatment and high water usage.

They were first to incorporate a vacuum pump in a steamer, which reduces air pressure in the cooking compartment, allowing water to boil and generate steam at temperatures as low as 150° F. The Steam'N'Hold™ was the first unit NSF listed as both a steamer and food holding cabinet; the first steamer with automatic product hold after the timed cook cycle; and the first to provide a compartment temperature gauge, to ensure safe product holding temperatures.

AccuTemp was also first to offer a choice of 6, 8 or 12-kW power input, to match available kitchen circuit capacity and the actual cooking speed needed by the operator. When introduced in 2005, the Super-Duty Steam'N'Hold™ was first to offer five different power options, adding a 10-kW and a 17-kW model that deliver even faster cook times and higher hourly production rates. The Evolution Series has now raised-the-bar on boilerless, connected steamer technology, combining performance and dependability with convenience, water and energy savings.
